MaxiCoast is the name of our holiday home letting activity.  Our website; www.maxicoast.co.uk and operated by Maxine Spencer.

What information is being collected?

If you make an enquiry on our websites, we will ask you to input and will collect Personal Information from you, including without limitation; your name, e-mail address, telephone number, the subject category of your contact and a free text box for your personal message to us.
If you shop or make a payment on our websites, we will ask you to input and will collect Personal Information from you, including without limitation; your name, e-mail address, billing address, delivery address, telephone number, product selections, credit card or other payment information and a password.
We may also collect and our third party providers of advertisements and content may collect, information about where you are on the internet (example, the URL you came from, IP address, domain types, such as .co.uk and .com), your browser type, mobile device indentifiers, the country and telephone area code where your computer is located, the pages of our website that were viewed during your visit, the advertisements you clicked on any search items that you entered on our website (“User Information”).  We may collect this information, even if you do not register with us.
Please be aware that our websites are being monitored and may capture information about your visit that will help us to improve the quality of our service or be used to present you with products relevant to your browsing history.

We collect and are not limited to; your name, email, address, contact detail(s) and your message on our websites, when you fill in CONTACT US and submit your enquiry.

We collect your personal information from you when you request certain goods and services either via our websites or in-store.  If we need to pass your personal information to a third party to meet your request, we will make it clear at the time you submit your details.  It is recommended that you read the privacy policies of those third parties.

You agree that you do not object to us contacting you for any of the above purposes whether by telephone, e-mail or in writing and you confirm that you do not and will not consider any of the above as being a breach of any of your rights under the Privacy and Electronic Communications (ECD Directive) Regulations 2003.


How will it be used?

We may use your data to process sales and delivery of our goods and services to you.  To offer quotations, assess your application for a product, service or quote, verify your identity and carry out anti-fraud checks, provide you with payment options and credit facilities.  Check that you can afford a credit agreement.
Your Personal Information may be used to process repairs or deal with complaints.
Identification of products and services which may be of interest to you and to provide you with tailored solutions.
We may use your information for training purposes, to improve our services and their delivery, for example by recording telephone calls.
Delivery photography: If our in-house delivery team or 3rdparty delivery partners attempts to deliver an order to your address and finds there’s no-one available to receive it, we reserve the right to take a photograph of the outside of the property to assure you we were in the right geographical location to fulfil your order, and confirm we had located the correct address. We can assure you that this photograph won’t be published or circulated, or used for any other purpose other than verification, and that it’s held securely in compliance with Data Protection legislation.

Under GDPR legislation, May 2018, you have a right to object to our use of your personal information for these legitimate interests, including a right to object to profiling by us.  See section 8. How you can change permissions.


5 Use of children’s personal information

We may collect names and ages of Guests staying at the holiday properties for children under the age of 16.


6 Sharing your personal information.

Who will it be shared with?
Your Personal Information may be disclosed to reputable third parties who will help process your order, such as, and not limited to; the supplier or a third-party delivery company. We require all such third parties to treat your personal information as fully confidential and to fully comply with all applicable UK Data Protection and consumer legislation from time to time in place. We will not release your Personal Information to any company outside of our company for their mailing or marketing purposes.

Reputable third-party banking (including PayPal and Barclaycard) and select distribution / supplier companies handle our card payment transactions and order fulfilment, in addition to our own in-house team. They receive information needed to verify and authorise your payment card and to process your order.

We may disclose your information to third party providers to help us to manage and store data, provide data analytics, conduct market research and to communicate with you effectively.  This may include any online or digital partners we work with, so we, or our online or digital partners on our behalf, can communicate with you through their platforms.

We may share your information with third parties who help us with our marketing campaigns, unless you opt out of receiving direct marketing.  MailCHimp is our chosen partner, their privacy policy can be found at www.mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/

All such organisation are under strict obligation to keep your personal information private and not to share it.

You should be aware that if we are requested by the police or any other regulatory or government authority investigating suspected illegal activities to provide your Personal Information and /or User Information, we are entitled do so.

The personal information that we collect is confidential. We may disclose your personal information to a third party in the following circumstances;
Our service providers – as described in section three and six of our Privacy Policy and for the purposes of providing goods and services and enabling your interaction on our websites.
When applying for credit facilities, we operate in conjunction with Experian Ltd.  Your consent is gained prior to sharing details with Experian, whose terms and conditions can be found on their own website.  www.experian.co.uk
