Both Weymouth and the Isle of Portland are great areas for families to spend time and enjoy their holiday. There are so many activities on offer for all ages.
Fancy’s Farm on Portland is a community-run farm with no entry fee (they rely on kind donations). Home to the only flock of rare breed Portland sheep on Portland. They also have wallabies, goats, ducks, chickens, geese, pigs, donkeys, shire horse and not forgetting Lunar the farm dog. Generally open every day between 10am and 5pm or dusk. Take the children to meet and learn about the animals.
Crabbing by Quayside is a splendid way to spend a few hours. Kids love this activity and it costs very little. A line, bucket and a bit of bait and away you go.
For the older children, get down to the sailing academy and try your hand at windsurfing, kite surfing or hire a paddleboard for a few hours.
The houses are both set up with toys, books, board games and DVD’s. High chair and travel cots are available, please request at your time of booking.
